Bitmain releases 7nm Bitcoin mining chip, new mining machine is coming soon

On September 21, Beijing time, Bitmain, a global leader in blockchain hardware, software and services, announced the launch of a new 7nm chip developed independently, which can be used to mine Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) encrypted digital currencies.

Bitmain's self-developed 7nm chip supports SHA256 algorithm

This 7nm chip carefully built by Bitmain integrates up to 1 billion transistors in a single chip, and has also been optimized in terms of algorithm. The chip adopts a unique circuit structure and low-power technology, and the energy efficiency ratio will be as low as 42J/T.

It is worth mentioning that the chip adopts the industry-leading Exposed Die packaging solution, which has better heat dissipation performance. Abandoning the traditional Over Molding plastic packaging method, leaving the back of the wafer open, directly contacting the heat dissipation interface material and the heat sink for heat dissipation. Therefore, the heat transfer efficiency will be more optimized than the traditional method.

Bitmain's 7nm chip energy efficiency ratio will be as low as 42J/T

The 7nm chip is a breakthrough in the research and development of the blockchain and encrypted digital currency industry, aiming to provide customers with more efficient mining equipment. Currently, Bitmain's 7nm chip is about to be mass-produced and will be used in the next generation of Antminers. Thanks to the improvement of the chip manufacturing process, the new mining machine equipped with the 7nm chip will have a significant improvement in various performance indicators, but the detailed parameters of the mining machine were not announced at the press conference.

The new mining machine will be available in the near future, and Bitmain’s customers can look forward to the superior computing power and efficiency brought by 7nm technology.
