Bianews reported on October 22 that according to Bitcoinist, the small town of Ephrata in Washington, USA, recently voted to stop cryptocurrency-related mining operations next year. The Spokesman-Review reports that the Ephrata City Council voted to stop the activities of cryptocurrency miners and their affiliates in order to ensure that they are in the interests of the city's residents. The Council's decision will not affect any positive behavior. But it is a ban on new external miners who might be keen to open mines in Ephrata. |
