The birth of Shenma D1

In June 2018, the Shenma D1 chip officially entered research and development;

In September 2018, Shenma D1 chip tapeout;

In November 2018, the Shenma D1 chip was successfully taped out and returned to Shenzhen;

On November 9, 2018, 28.5 hours after the chip arrived in Shenzhen, the first Whatsma D1 was born.

As advertised in the early circle of friends: Shenma DCR parameters are 44T, 55W/T.

Having said so much, let’s take a look at the entire birth process of Shenma D1 and the actual operating data.

1. When the chips arrive in Shenzhen, we start testing the chip pass rate.

2. If the chip is tested OK, we can start chip mounting.

3. After solder paste is applied, the PCB is waiting to enter the next process.

4. Place the chip on the PCB using automated equipment.

5. Check for solder leaks and cold solder joints.

6. The hash board comes out of the reflow soldering equipment after being pasted.

7. Assemble the heat sink.

8. After installing the chassis, computing board, fan, control board, and power supply in sequence, Shenma D1 is officially born.

Completing the assembly is not enough to prove our success, so let us now witness "visible success".

From the video, we can see that the current running computing power is 48.56T , the power consumption is 2211W , and the power consumption ratio reaches an astonishing 45.53W/T .

I know that some customers are worried that if Shemma D1 is sold in large quantities at one time, the DCR hashrate will soar, making it more difficult to earn profits, and causing most miners to have no income. We are unwilling to do this thankless task.

In order to better maintain the peaceful development of the DCR ecosystem, D1 will be issued in limited quantities to avoid a sharp increase in computing power.
