BEAM Wallet Usage Tutorial

BEAM is a cryptocurrency developed based on the MimbleWimble protocol. It adopts PoW consensus and is committed to solving the shortcomings of Bitcoin in scalability and privacy. It has attracted much attention both at home and abroad.

Note: Please use a safe and reliable computer to download, do not download other software randomly, beware of Trojans stealing private keys!!!

1. Download the wallet

Download Beam official wallet (or click the original link at the end of the article):

(Note: This wallet is a testnet wallet. According to official news, a new version of the wallet will be released 2 hours before the mainnet goes online.)

2. Run the program

1) Double-click to run the Beam wallet program and click “ create new wallet”.

2) Click on “generate recovery phrase”.

3) Print or copy the recovery code below, then click "next" and "I understand".

(It is strongly recommended to write down the recovery code on paper to prevent Trojans from stealing information and causing loss of coins)

4) Fill in the blanks with the words corresponding to the numbers in the previous step and click "next"

5) Create a wallet password and click “next”.

6) Select “Connect to random remote node” and click “proceed to your wallet”.

7) The new wallet is created successfully, click “receive” in the upper right corner.

8) Now create a new payment address, note that the "Expires" item is " never", copy the address and save it, then click " close".

9) Click the second button on the left to view the generated payment address. Please make sure that the expiration time of the payment address used for mining is " never". If not, please repeat the previous step to generate a new address.
