According to a report by Hong Kong Sing Tao Daily on March 1, "Coin Master" Huang Zhengjie, who was arrested for planning the money-scattering scam in Sham Shui Po last year, reported to the police station at noon on February 28. He was suspected of being involved in another scam of selling virtual currency mining machines for about 2.6 million yuan. He was arrested by detectives from the Commercial Crime Investigation Department who were waiting on the scene. He was then taken back to the Tsuen Wan office building for a search and arrested another employee surnamed Mo. He also searched his Sai Kung residence and many places, seized a large number of documents and froze about 5 million yuan in assets. According to an inspector of the Commercial Crime Investigation Department of the police, they are suspected of arranging investment lectures and using social media to promote and make some false advertisements from April to August last year, promoting virtual currency mining machines and inducing victims to buy them. The investigation is still ongoing, and more arrests cannot be ruled out.
