Antminer S17 Pro released, equipped with Bitmain's second-generation 7nm chip, will be available for sale tomorrow

On April 8, Bitmain, one of the world's top ten and China's second largest fabless chip design companies, and the world's largest cryptocurrency mining company, officially released its new Antminer S17 Pro. The Antminer S17 Pro is equipped with Bitmain's second-generation 7nm chip BM1397, with a computing power of up to 53 TH/s in standard mode and an energy efficiency ratio of 39.5 J/T, and an energy efficiency ratio as low as 36 J/T in low power mode. S17 Pro is Bitmain's most powerful SHA256 algorithm mining machine to date, and can support mining of encrypted digital currencies such as BTC and BCH.

In February this year, Bitmain took the lead in releasing the second-generation self-developed 7nm chip BM1397 in the industry, and announced that it will be installed in the next generation of Antminer products. According to reports, BM1397 uses the world's leading TSMC FinFET technology, with higher chip integration and better heat dissipation. A single chip integrates more than 1 billion transistors. Thanks to the continuous enhancement of the second-generation 7nm chip in circuit structure and low-power technology, the performance of S17 Pro has been significantly improved. In addition, S17 Pro adopts new heat dissipation technology and global optimization customization solutions, fully considering factors from chip architecture to the economy of the whole machine, and achieving global optimization by strengthening the core part while taking into account the optimization of other modules.

According to official parameters, S17 Pro is available in two versions: 53T and 50T, both of which support three mining modes: standard, low power and high performance. In standard mode, the computing power of S17 Pro is 53 TH/s and 50 TH/s respectively, and the energy efficiency ratio is 39.5 J/T. The low power mode is suitable for miners with strong energy-saving requirements, and the energy efficiency ratio is as low as 36 J/T.

Compared with the previous generation of products, the S17 Pro continues to optimize the overall structure. The S17 Pro body continues the S15's double-tube fan design, the wind distance is shortened by half, the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the mining machine is reduced, and the machine performance is greatly improved. It is worth mentioning that the S17 Pro uses a new high-power power supply, which can effectively ensure the stability of the mining machine operation.

In addition to the release of Antminer S17 Pro, Bitmain also launched another 7nm mining machine S17. S17 is available in two versions, 56T and 53T, both of which support standard mode and low power mode. In standard mode, S17 has a computing power of up to 56T and an energy efficiency ratio of 45J/T; in low power mode, S17 has an energy efficiency ratio as low as 42 J/T. At present, Antminer S17 and S17 Pro have been simultaneously launched on Bitmain's official website and will be officially launched at 2 pm on April 9.

As the product with the highest market share among all categories of Antminers, the flagship S series has undergone multiple iterations, with significant overall performance improvements and has been highly recognized by the market. In 2016, Bitmain took the lead in releasing the 16nm chip mining machine S9, which quickly occupied the domestic and overseas markets with its advantages of high computing power, low power consumption and strong stability, establishing the company's leading position in the mining machine industry.
