F2Pool ZEN (Horizen) Mining Tutorial

ZClassic (ZCL) gave all mining revenue to miners, which brought a problem. The funds needed for project development could only rely on community contributions, resulting in unsatisfactory development progress. Finally, three former US government military personnel forked a more perfect version from ZClassic - Zencash, and recently changed its name to "Horizen", still referred to as ZEN.

Like ZCL, the total number of ZEN is also 21 million. It uses the Equihash algorithm and can currently be mined through graphics card miners and ASIC miners (A9, Z9).

1. Get the wallet address

F2Pool, currently ZEN mining uses anonymous mining. To obtain mining income, you first need to prepare a wallet address. You can get the ZEN wallet address through the following link:

【Third-party wallet】: Coinomi wallet , supports Android and IOS systems.

2. ASIC Mining

Taking the Antminer Z9 as an example, first obtain the IP address of the miner, enter the miner IP in the browser, jump to the miner backend, and enter the "Miner Configuration" interface.

Fill in the following information on the "Miner Configuration" interface:

URL: stratum+tcp://zencash.f2pool.com:3377

User: wallet address. miner number

Note: The wallet address and worker number are separated by a period "."; the worker number is customizable and can be any combination of numbers or letters.

Password: You can set it at will

After setting, it is as shown below:

After checking, click "Save&Apply" in the lower right corner. After a while, the mining machine will start running. You can check the machine running status in the "Miner Status" interface.

3.1. Get mining software

3.1.2. Developer's original mining software

Mining software for A-card mining machine: [claymore's miner]

The Linux version of the mining software can be obtained from the "Developer Original Mining Software" download link.

Note: ZEN and ZEC have the same algorithm and can use the same mining software and mining machines. It should be noted that the mining pool address and wallet address are different.

3.2. Set mining parameters

3.2.1. Mining parameter setting method of A card mining machine:

Download the A card mining software, unzip the file, find the ".bat" file (batch file), right-click the ".bat" file, and select "Edit".

The parameters are set as follows:


ZecMiner64.exe -zpool zencash.f2pool.com:3377 -zwal wallet_address.worker_name -zpsw x -allpools 1

The meanings of the parameters are as follows:

-zpoo l fill in the address of the fish pool zen mining pool -zwal fill in the zen wallet address and miner number -zpsw fill in any password

Refer to the above example to determine the ZEN mining pool address, and set the miner's own ZEN coin receiving address and miner number. If there are multiple machines, the miner number is used to distinguish different machines. The wallet address and miner number are separated by an English period ".". When modifying, only change the corresponding characters, do not delete spaces and punctuation, and click Save after the modification is completed.

Double-click to run the ".bat" file (batch file) to start mining.

In addition, you can also modify the parameters of the "config" file and then directly run the "ZecMiner64.exe" program. In the config file, the mining parameters are as follows:

-zpool zencash.f2pool.com:3377 -zwal wallet address.worker name -zpsw z -allpools 1

3.2.2. Mining parameter setting method of N card mining machine

Download the N card mining software, unzip it, find the ".bat" file (batch file), right-click the file, select "Edit", and set the mining parameters. The example is as follows:

miner --server zencash.f2pool.com --port 3377 --user wallet_address.worker_name --pass x --fee 0 --pec

Refer to the above example, and replace your own wallet address and worker number in wallet address.worker name according to the type of miner software you downloaded. Check the mining pool address: zencash.f2pool.com and mining pool port: 3377, and other relevant information. After that, save the ".bat" file.

Double-click to run the ".bat" file to start mining.

To check the running status and daily income of the ZEN mining machine, you can visit the official website of F2Pool (https://www.f2pool.com).

Enter the ZEN address for mining in the search box on the page and click View. You can view the mining machine status and revenue.
