Bitmain has terminated its partnership with DMG, an overseas mining farm operator, in Texas

According to BlockBeats, Bitmain has cancelled its partnership with the DMG mining farm in Texas due to failure to achieve "cost and operational efficiency."

Vancouver-based DMG Blockchain announced the news on Monday. The company said the two parties decided to terminate the current agreement. The Canadian company cited the failure to achieve "cost and operational efficiencies" as the reason for the termination, but said the two parties will continue to explore other cooperation opportunities.

Bitmain launched its Texas mine in October 2019. As previously reported by BlockBeats, Bitmain claims that the new mine will be "the largest Bitcoin mine in the world." They expect future power generation capacity to exceed 300 megawatts. It is not clear whether the facilities in the mine are still in operation. If they are, will Bitmain hire a new operator for its Texas mine or choose to manage the mining equipment itself? A former Bitmain employee who wished to remain anonymous said that Bitmain is scaling back its global operations.
