Coinbase CEO: Ethereum's scalability is better than Bitcoin's

A few days ago, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong posted a job posting on Reddit to recruit senior engineers for his company. In the post, he mentioned that Coinbase wallet will support more competing coins in the future, and also stated that Ethereum's scalability is better than Bitcoin.

The post was originally intended to spread the news of Coinbase's recruitment on Reddit, as Armstrong believes that the future of cryptocurrency is bright. However, the comments were full of interest in the programming test it released and curiosity about which altcoin Coinbase will add next.

Coinbase meets customer needs

Armstrong wrote:

We will support any cryptocurrency that our customers ask us to add. I hope that at least one of these cryptocurrencies will stand out and win big, attracting billions of users in the next few years.

I am very interested in the scaling of digital currencies. I think Ethereum has achieved more in this area than Bitcoin so far. As for how the two will develop in the future, that is unknown.

At the same time, he also called on Reddit users to help promote Coinbase's talent recruitment plan.

Coinbase added Ether one day after Ethereum completed its historic hard fork in July.

Coinbase said it can benefit from Ethereum's unlimited expansion plan, and bring more security and flexibility to its system through the insurance mechanism of smart contracts, both of which are conducive to the development of innovation and improve adaptability.

Armstrong praises Ethereum

Ethereum's hard fork in July gained a lot of supporters, and Armstrong is one of them.

Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam said in May that Ethereum has surpassed Bitcoin in terms of app development in the nine months since its launch. Ehrsam said he was not trying to start a war between the two cryptocurrencies, but that there are so many similarities between the two that the comparison makes sense.

Reddit users support altcoins

Many users speculated on the possibility of Coinbase supporting more competing coins in Armstrong's post. Some users also hoped that he would consider Monero (Monero or XMR, the original text may be wrong, dividing the two into different currencies), BitShares (BTS), Zcash, Zcoin, Litecoin (LTC), Shadowcash and Dogecoin (DOGE). Among them, Monero is the most popular.

Coinbase's programming test has also attracted a lot of attention. Users have different opinions on it. Some people even questioned the necessity of this test.
