InnoMiner: Notice on Cancellation and Refund of G32 Pre-order

We regret to inform you that due to continued delays at a third-party foundry, wafer production of our Grin product, the G32 GPU ASIC, has been delayed. As a result, we have had to temporarily cancel the project .

Although we have submitted the complete GDS tape-out data to the foundry several months ago, and we have been doing our best to communicate and strive to shorten the wafer manufacturing cycle. Unfortunately, after many communications, we recently learned from the foundry that due to the high complexity and large size of the G32 CC32/CC31 protocol compatible GPU custom chip, even though we have enough confidence in the chip architecture, the foundry's design support department still said that the yield evaluation has not been completed, and there is a lack of sufficient resources and confidence to ensure the success of such a large GPU ASIC, so it has not been put into production. Such a delay will definitely not meet our requirements for shipping to customers in January and February, which is also unacceptable to us.

In order to help customers better cope with the challenges of continuous updates to the Grin algorithm, Innosilicon has invested a lot of R&D manpower and material resources to complete the innovative CC31/CC32 Grin GPU ASIC design, making the chip programmable and versatile. This challenging design was fully completed in September last year and submitted to the wafer foundry for mass production. However, due to concerns about the risks of mass production size, the wafer foundry has been repeatedly conducting a protracted internal yield review process. Until now, this review is still ongoing and there is no definite feasible shipping date. This is unacceptable to us and our customers. We believe that this endless waiting and embarrassing situation is not in the interests of Innosilicon customers, so we have to suspend this project and do our best to recover the investment for our customers.

Out of trust in Grin and its core team, and believing in Grin's bright future, we continue to invest a lot of manpower and material resources to complete the design of a top-level challenging project and improve performance to an unprecedented level. We are now also willing to sell the complete design of this product to any interested third party, or support third parties to use other process technologies to ensure that this product can be mass-produced next year, safeguarding the interests of future Grin customers.

Starting today, we will arrange a full refund for the first batch of customers who ordered directly from Innosilicon's official channels, and complete the refund for all pre-order customers in the order of payment within 30 working days. Customers who purchased G32 through other channels, please contact your seller to confirm the refund. We will not be able to connect with customers without direct sales records.

To thank you for your trust, we will compensate all customers who have ordered directly from Innosilicon's official channels and successfully refunded a certain amount of discount coupons (these discount coupons can be used to purchase other products on the Innosilicon official website).

Finally, we once again express our deepest apologies for this uncontrollable foundry delay. Thank you for your continued trust and support. Innosilicon will continue to improve its innovation and mass production capabilities and return your trust with more powerful products!
