What does "Connection Disconnected" mean?

Users who mine ETH or ETC may have seen such an error message in group control:

It seems that other mining software does not specifically prompt this error message, which makes some users mistakenly believe that it is a software problem. In the early days, this prompt message was "The connection was disconnected by the mining pool", which also made the mining pool take the blame. It is really sorry.

There are several possibilities when this prompt message appears:

1. The broadband operator forcibly disconnects the network , possibly to recycle resources (such as reclaiming IPv4). As shown in the figure above, it occurs regularly every 48 hours.

2. The network is unstable or the DNS fails , causing the network to disconnect.

3. No static IP is used, and the DHCP lease is renewed after it expires . It is not certain whether this will cause the connection to be disconnected.

4. Mining pool reasons : The mining pool did experience network jitter and reset the network connection.
