Russian media: How much money can be earned from Bitcoin mining? One tenth is paid for electricity bills, and the remaining net profit

China Xiaokang.com reported on February 27 that Artyom Deyev, head of the analysis department of AMarkets, told reporters that cryptocurrency miners spend about 10% of their income on electricity for equipment.
“According to various estimates, miners spend about 10% of their earnings on electricity bills for mining farms. It would be possible to reduce electricity consumption if power limits were set or if ‘altcoins’ were issued that did not require equipment to run at full capacity,” the expert said, according to the Russian Satellite News Agency.
Deyev pointed out that farm mining requires a variety of equipment, and in order to operate continuously, they need to be powered around the clock. The calculations required to open transaction blocks put a heavy burden on graphics cards, processors and ASIC miners, which need to be connected to cooling systems.
"To understand how much a user spends on mining, start with the best-selling ASIC miner, the Antminer T9," explained Deyev. "This device costs $2,500 and consumes 1,700 watts of electricity per hour, which translates to 40.8 kilowatts for a full day of operation. Multiply this number by the local electricity price and you get the electricity bill for the day. If you have more than one unit installed, of course, this number will be doubled accordingly."
He continued: “Taking into account the cost of Bitcoin, the revenue from several devices in a day will be slightly more than 1,000 rubles. Subtract the electricity cost, and that’s the net revenue. But the electricity cost will not exceed 10-15% of the revenue.”
