Recently, I finally got the S19 review sample I had been dreaming of. I was attracted by it at first sight, and I still liked it when I saw it again. I had a strong urge: sleep with it! No, tear it apart! It’s too late, hurry up and get in the car!

Without further ado, let’s start disassembling the machine.

First remove the air outlet fan. There is a reinforced dust grid inside the fan to prevent foreign matter from being sucked in. ▼

After removing the fan, you can see the removable hashboard design. Unscrew the two screws at the top where it connects to the power supply, unplug the main control board connection cable, and the hashboard can be easily pulled out. There are multiple hashboard tracks at the bottom of the chassis, leaving more space and possibilities for future modifications. (Thinking long-term) ▼

The extra components on the top of the power box were originally thought to be for aesthetics, to align the power supply and chassis heights. After opening it, I discovered that they were actually there to leave enough space between the power supply and chassis shell for safety. How thoughtful! ▼

A close-up of the top details shows that the wiring between the power supply, hashboard and main control board is neat. In addition to the power line and data line, there is also a voltage regulating line connecting the main control board and the power supply, which is responsible for regulating the power supply voltage during the operation of the mining machine. ▼

Here is a small detail to mention. In order to facilitate the inspection of the main control board, a movable baffle with a spring button is added above the air outlet fan. You can easily remove the baffle to check the internal situation by unscrewing three screws. ▼

Next, let's take a look at the main control board. The main control board chip is in the middle, and the XILINX logo is clearly visible. In the middle of the connection with the front case is the Ethernet interface, and next to it is the SD card slot. ▼

There are 77 independent heat sinks on the back of the hashboard, which effectively improve the heat dissipation capacity. They are fixed by welding process, and the contact surface is firm and tight, which effectively prevents loosening and falling off during violent transportation and loading and unloading. The density of the heat sink is consistent with the density of chip arrangement. ▼

The next step is to violently peel off the front heat sink to check the chip condition. A single heat sink covers 38 Bitmain's self-developed fully customized 7-nanometer chips, and the other half of the chips on the board are distributed in a mirror image. The three hash boards of the whole machine have a total of 228 chips. ▼

The silicon grease is evenly applied between the chip and the heat sink, with almost no overflow. The chip arrangement is high density at the air inlet and thin heat sink, and the density of the chip decreases and the heat sink becomes thicker towards the air outlet. This ensures uniform heat dissipation of the entire machine. ▼

Now we will separate the power box, unscrew the connecting screws, unplug the power supply lines and voltage regulator lines of each component, and gently push it towards the air outlet to remove it from the host ▼

The power supply model of Antminer S19-95T is the newly designed APW12, which has a higher conversion rate and is more powerful than the S17 power supply APW9. Opening the box cover, you can see three Nidec fans distributed side by side. Compared with the 40mm fan of the S17 series power supply, the fan of the S19 power supply has been upgraded to 60mm. The fan speed has been reduced, and the heat dissipation channel has been enlarged, which will also reduce the power supply failure rate. Insulation layers are placed on both sides of the power supply box to prevent dangers such as short circuits and leakage. ▼

Connect the power cord and network cable to turn on the machine, then the IP address of the mining machine will pop up through IP REPORT. Enter the found IP address into the browser address, and you will be prompted to enter the username and password. The default username and password of the mining machine are both " root ". Open the mining machine background, enter the mining machine configuration interface, fill in the mining pool address and miner name, and the fan speed defaults to 100. No need to check, just save it directly. The less you use the factory settings and restart mining machine functions in the lower right corner, the better, which will help extend the life of the mining machine.

The IP configuration interface can modify the host name, making it easier for miners to manage the machine. ▼

The actual test data of the mining pool in 24 hours is slightly different, but the value is also above the rated computing power on the official website. The computing power curve is stable and oscillating between 92T~100T ▼

After 24 hours of indoor testing at 26 degrees Celsius, the computing power of Antminer S19-95T slightly exceeded the official computing power index of 95 T on both the local user panel and the mining pool. The power consumption range was between 3175.7 and 3217 W, which was lower than the power consumption of 3250 W on the official website wall. The average computing power of the mining pool in 24 hours was 95.07 T, and the measured energy efficiency ratio was 33.1 J/T, which was lower than the 34.5±5%J/T power consumption ratio marked on the official website. Overall, it is consistent with and better than the official propaganda data. It can be said to be a conscientious product and a gold-digging tool for dealing with halving.
