In the hot summer, use these parameters well

The weather is getting hotter and hotter, so I would like to remind you to pay attention to the temperature of your mining machine. Learn about these parameters and functions.

1. Temperature and fan

In winter, people often asked, what speed should the fan be set at? It was cold at that time, and the mention of fans was terrifying. At that time, it was recommended that everyone set a lower speed for fear that the fan would be frozen.

Now that the weather is getting hot, the fan is still running slowly. You should speed up the fan to 80, 90, or even 100. Usually, setting 0 (auto) is not the speed we want.

There is also a parameter "temperature" in the overclocking settings, which refers to the "safe temperature". When the GPU reaches this temperature, it will automatically reduce the frequency. However, it should be noted that this is not absolutely safe, and the temperature may continue to rise even after the automatic frequency reduction.

The high temperature of some A cards is due to the bad BIOS, which does not reasonably reduce the power consumption, because the greater the power consumption, the greater the heat. Therefore, users who "don't care" about electricity bills also need to pay attention to power consumption.

For N card users, after the power consumption is reduced, the safety temperature should also be lowered accordingly. For example, if the power consumption is 70, and the safety temperature is still set to 90 or 95, an overclocking setting error may occur.

2. High temperature warning

In the group control settings, there is an item called "High Temperature Warning". After setting it, the group control log will automatically prompt the GPU with high temperature.

3. Email Notification

For GPUs that exceed the high temperature warning level, timely notifications will be automatically sent via email.

The above are all auxiliary functions at the software level. If ventilation is poor, ventilation conditions need to be improved, and manual inspections need to be strengthened.
