Filecoin core developer: At the request of miners, the testnet incentive plan may be postponed for 1-2 weeks

According to BlockBeats, a Filecoin core developer (Slack name: Why) said in the official Slack chat room in the early morning of July 11: "A lot of people have sent me messages asking for more time before the incentivized testnet goes online. How many people have the same idea now? Technically, we can definitely use the extra time to test the code and make sure there are no obvious problems in the code. We have been working hard for the July 20 (launch) date, and it may still be possible, but I think maybe delaying it for a week (maybe two weeks?) and running another devnet would be best."

This means that the testnet incentive plan originally scheduled to be launched in early July may be postponed for a while, and the final launch time has not yet been determined. It is not clear whether the postponement of the incentive testnet will affect the final mainnet launch plan.

As previously reported by LIDONG, Filecoin announced in June that it would launch a rewards program for the Filecoin testnet, inviting miners from around the world to compete for global and regional rewards totaling 4 million Filecoin tokens. The testnet rewards program is a collaborative competition designed to stress-test the network, encourage global miners to participate, and hopefully help miners prepare to run the world's largest distributed storage network.
