The geological disasters that miners fear most: how to prevent landslides, collapses, and mudslides (recommended for collection)

At 5 a.m. on the 18th, Sichuan Province initiated a Level I flood emergency response - this is the first time in Sichuan's history that this level of response has been initiated, which is enough to show that the current flood control situation in Sichuan is extremely severe. The government has adjusted the once-in-50-year event to a once-in-100-year event.

The meteorological department reminds that although the rainfall in the Sichuan Basin has weakened, the cumulative rainfall in the Sichuan Basin in the past 10 days has been 2 to 4 times higher than the annual average, and the rainfall in the western part has even been more than 4 times higher. The soil is saturated with water, and there is a certain lag in the occurrence of geological disasters, so we should not relax our vigilance. Affected by the rainfall, the meteorological risk of mountain torrents and geological disasters in central and northern Sichuan, western and southeastern Yunnan, southern Gansu and other places is still high, and relevant monitoring and prevention should be continued.

Since many mines are built in mountainous areas, floods bring more serious geological and meteorological disasters. At about 3:20 a.m. on June 17, a mudslide occurred in Meilonggou, Banshanmen Town, Danba County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and several local mines were destroyed. As of 9 a.m. on the 17th, more than 5,000 households and more than 20,000 people had been evacuated, and 2 people were missing. According to the cover news report, a power plant employee was missing, the Meilong Power Station (installed capacity 2000KW) had been destroyed, and the Annianggou Power Station (installed capacity 3200KW) was threatened. The Aba mudslide in 2019 caused 4 deaths and 19 people missing, which had a great impact on the mines.

Senior industry professionals have provided miners with the following guidance on how to deal with geological and meteorological disasters such as landslides and mudslides. It has been commissioned by Wu Blockchain to be published. Please read it.
