The Ethereum Foundation announced a new grant of $3.88 million for projects including zero-knowledge proof, Layer 2, and Ethereum 2.0

On September 10, the Ethereum Foundation announced on its official blog that it will provide more than 3.88 million US dollars in funding to project teams in the Ethereum ecosystem.

According to the blog post, as part of the second quarter 2020 ecosystem support program, the foundation has provided grants to relevant teams, and the categories of funded teams include community and education, cryptography and zero-knowledge proof (ZKP), developer experience, Ethereum 2.0, and Layer 2.

The Ethereum Foundation stated:

“This list represents non-recurring funding from across the Ethereum Foundation, including grants received through our public inquiry program, delegated domain allocations, and third-party funding. As always, it’s a privilege for the Foundation to work with these amazing projects and more.”

It is reported that a month ago, the Ethereum Foundation announced that it would establish a dedicated security team for Ethereum 2.0 to study any potential network security and crypto-economic issues in the next generation of the Ethereum network.
