On May 20, media reports pointed out that Sichuan Province recently issued a power dispatch notice: Since May, the power load in Sichuan Province has increased significantly, with an average daily power consumption of 615 million kWh, a year-on-year increase of 22%. At the same time, the water inflow in each river basin in the province was about 20% less than the same period last year, the hydropower generation capacity was greatly reduced, and the thermal power generation increased by 110% year-on-year. On May 18, the load of the Sichuan power grid reached 35 million kilowatts, and the grid power supply reached 670 million kWh, a year-on-year increase of 25%. There may be power shortages in some areas and time periods, and the power supply guarantee and the stable operation of the power grid are facing challenges. According to meteorological forecasts, high temperatures will continue for some time. State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company and Sichuan Power Trading Center must do a good job in ensuring the current and future power production and supply to ensure the stable operation of the power system.

At the same time, there are reports that due to the high temperature in Sichuan Province, the demand for civilian electricity has surged, resulting in the power of some mines being diverted to ensure civilian electricity. Some mines have not started up after completing the flood season migration and are still waiting for the flood season electricity price. Some mines that previously had loads have also had their power diverted.

Regarding the impact on some mines, Sichuan mine owner Mandy confirmed to the media: "The affected mines account for about 60% this time."

Looking at the computing power of the entire network, we can see that 115E has dropped to 95E. However, the flood season is coming soon, and the computing power here will increase when the flood season comes."
