Vitalik Buterin urges heavy Ethereum users to move to Layer 2

According to BlockBeats, on October 15, Vitalik Buterin reiterated his enthusiasm for so-called Layer 2 expansion solutions, such as "rollups," in his opening keynote speech at the Ethereum Economic Virtual Conference. It essentially means keeping transaction data on the chain while pushing the computing load off the chain. At the meeting, V God called on "advanced or heavy" users to move to Ethereum Layer 2.

Vitalik praised “optimistic Rollup solutions” and ZK rollups, which use zero-knowledge proof technology, adding that using these solutions on the current Ethereum blockchain could increase transaction throughput from 15 transactions per second to 1,000 to 4,000 transactions per second.

“If you’re listening to this show and you’re an exchange, or you’re a wallet, or you’re a mining pool, or you’re a big user, or even just a regular user of Ethereum, then you should know what rollups are and what they do,” Buterin said. “Basically, you should move to Layer 2.”
