Binance sues Forbes and two authors for defamation and causing serious damage to the platform

According to BlockBeats, on November 19, according to foreign media Decrypt, Binance has sued Forbes and its two authors. Forbes published a report about Binance in October this year, claiming that it had obtained a document called "Tai Chi" showing that Binance tried to evade US supervision.

The article was written by Michael del Castillo, a senior writer for Forbes, with other reports assisted by Jason Brett. In the lawsuit, Binance sued both of them and Forbes.

The lawsuit states that "the defendants' false public statements, misrepresentations and insinuations that Binance did not comply with applicable laws, attempted to evade regulators, and engaged in activities with "money laundering characteristics" have caused serious damage to Binance." Binance believes that because it has not received concessions and apologies from Forbes, the lawsuit is still continuing. Binance is asking the defendants to compensate and receive punitive treatment, and to have the items removed.

A Binance spokesperson said: “We exercise and support freedoms, including freedom of information, freedom of the press, and accountability. This lawsuit is not a reflection of our core values ​​and beliefs in freedom, but rather ensuring truth and justice.”
