Graphics card review | Which one is more cost-effective for mining, RTX3060Ti or RTX3070?

In order to make the data changes of 3060Ti more obvious, Xiao Xie made a simple comparison between it and 3070 in this evaluation.

The evaluation begins! Here, we adjust the memory frequency of RTX3070 and RTX3060Ti to the same 2500MHz . Xiao Xie believes that the power consumption of these two graphics cards is relatively weak, so the power limit is set to 125w, and 3060Ti is first adjusted to 120w .

The results here show that the mining hashrate of the two graphics cards is roughly the same, 61.64Mh/s for 3070 and 61.44Mh/s for 3060ti. Of course, if we set the power limit of 3060Ti to the same, the hashrate will be roughly the same as 3070, and the power consumption of 3060Ti is 152w .

Now, if we adjust the 3060Ti to the 125w power limit, the result is very close to that of the 3070. In this case, we simply increase the memory frequency of the 3060Ti to 3000MHz . The result is shown in the figure below. The computing power is indeed significantly improved compared to the 3070.

Finally, the master tried to increase the power limit of 3060 to 135w , the memory frequency to 3500MHz , the computing power reached 65.3Mh/s , and the power consumption was 170w , but he believed that this was almost reaching the critical point of power consumption of 3060Ti.

Although we get beautiful data, we cannot mine any minerals because they will be rejected by the mining pool.

And the experts recommend that the maximum power of 3060Ti should be set in the range of 115-130w, otherwise the combined power consumption and computing power will cause losses.

Now let's calculate the income. The computing power of the graphics card is 63MH/s when overclocked, the power is 145w, and the domestic electricity price is 0.35 yuan/kwh. It is calculated that the daily income of the miner is about 13.6 yuan. After deducting the electricity fee, the monthly net income is about 12.4 yuan.

According to the current domestic market price of 3060Ti of around 3,800 yuan, it can be concluded that miners will need about 306 days to make a profit, which is still a very advantageous graphics card.

According to the current market conditions, after 306 days, can it still be sold to the market at the original price? Haha!

The expert also mentioned the RX6800xt graphics card that everyone is concerned about. Although its computing power is also very high, reaching 65MH/s, its price is also relatively high. The official website price is US$649, and the Chinese market price is even more expensive. The Xianyu price is currently around 6,000 yuan .
