Kentucky lawmakers last week filed a bill aimed at making Kentucky a more attractive area for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency miners. If approved and signed into law, it would provide a "sales and use tax exemption" for tangible personal property used directly and electricity used for commercial cryptocurrency mining from the date of approval. There are also other incentives for energy use. Public data shows that the bill was filed on January 8 and is currently in its earliest stage. |
