According to BlockBeats, according to JD Technology, at 8:00 on February 24, Chengdu’s "Digital RMB Red Envelopes to Welcome the New Year" consumer red envelope testing activity will be officially launched.

It is understood that the Chengdu Municipal Government will work with JD.com to distribute 200,000 digital RMB red envelopes totaling 40 million yuan to citizens, with red envelope amounts of 178 yuan and 238 yuan, distributed randomly. JD Technology Group, as a business sub-group of JD Group focusing on technology-based industrial services, provides technical and service support for this event. This is the first time that the digital RMB consumer red envelope test activity has been piloted in the western region.

Chengdu citizens can log in to the designated activity page through the Tianfu Citizen Cloud APP and JD APP from 08:00 on February 24 to 24:00 on February 25 to sign up for the digital RMB red envelope. The red envelopes will be drawn and distributed from February 26 to March 2. The digital RMB red envelopes of the winning users will officially take effect at 0:00 on March 3 and will be used from 0:00 on March 3 to 24:00 on March 19. The scope of use of digital RMB red envelopes covers online and offline shopping scenarios, among which the online scenario is supported by JD Group for special consumption, and all special products in JD APP can be consumed with digital RMB; offline consumption can be made in more than 12,000 designated merchants (stores) in Chengdu, including popular attractions, specialty restaurants, supermarket chains, and JD Five Star Appliances, JD Home Appliances Stores, JD Computer Digital Physical Stores, etc.
