Group Control Setting Tutorial

Group Control Setting Tutorial
Easy miner, creating value for users.

We did a little survey at the end of the previous article, and the results were a bit surprising.

We have introduced group control many times before, but it may have been too complicated and many people don’t understand it.

Group control, also called central control, is a software that can easily manage mining machines.

To make it easier to distinguish, we call them the "group control end" and the "miner end", or simply "group control" and "miner".

Group control only needs to be installed on one machine, not every machine. If conditions permit, use an independent computer for group control. If conditions do not permit, choose a mining machine and install the group control terminal as a group control. This will not affect the mining efficiency.

Using group control gives me the feeling of being a leader, checking the data every day.

(There are dozens of data on the right)

There are prompts for all mining machine errors, and for software and kernel upgrades; when you need to upgrade the miners, enter "one-click upgrade" and hundreds of miners will be completed instantly; if you want to batch (upgrade) switch the kernel, mining pool, wallet, or even currency with one click, enter "one-click switch" and it will be done with a few clicks.

In order to help you set up group control better, we have specially released group control version 4.5.1. Click the lower right corner to upgrade immediately. The lower left corner of the 4.5.1 version of group control displays "Computer Name". Usually the default computer name is very confusing. You can change it to a simple and easy-to-remember one.

It will get complicated if I explain further, so let’s get to the point.

First, find a computer to install group control;

Then, change the computer name to a simple one;

Finally, fill in the computer name in the intranet group control box.

(Figure 1)

Just follow the above 3 steps. After setting up, there are several common questions, which are answered here.

Q: Why does it say download failed when I switch or upgrade the software with one click after setting it up?

A: You may also need to do this step http://www.qskg.top/white.html

Q: Didn’t you fill in the IP address before?

Answer: Because some users do not know what IP is, nor do they know how to check it.

Q: Do I need to change the computer name after filling in the IP?

Answer: You can keep it unchanged or change it.

Q: Which is better, IP or computer name?

A: If it is not a fixed IP or you don’t know what a fixed IP is, the computer name is definitely better.

Q: Is it a huge project to change all IP addresses and computer names?

Answer: In group control, select the mining machine, click other operations, and then click one-click settings to modify the batch.

Question: Can I still do group control even if I don’t fill in anything?

A: You may have checked "Automatically search for group control", see above the circled part in "Figure 1".

Q: Should I use the computer name instead of automatic search?

A: The automatic search group control method is not suitable for "mixed" mining farms. One user summarized it very well: if you use automatic search, your machine may be seduced by someone else's group control. If it is not a mixed mining farm, you can leave it unchanged. If it is, you must change it.

Q: Are intranet group control and cross-network group control so complicated?

A: Initially, there was only intranet group control, and it was very popular. Later, machines distributed in multiple locations wanted to be managed at home, machines at home wanted to be managed at work, and machines at work wanted to be managed at home, so cross-network group control was derived.

Q: How to set up cross-network group control?

Answer: Send "Apply for Account" to the official account, fill in the account number in the "Cross-network Group Control Account" in "Figure 1", and fill in the account number and password in the group control settings of the group control.

Q: I’m a little confused...

Answer: Group control is just a software. If the group control and mining machine are in the same network, it is intranet group control. If the group control is in a different location, it is remote group control.

Q: Can they be used together or separately?

Answer: Yes, yes.

Q: What are the problems with only using remote group control?

A: There is the problem shown below. Because the pressure of file transmission is very high every time the file is upgraded, the intranet group control is set up to make it a file transfer station.

Q: Can't input when using group control remote desktop?

Answer: Turn off the input method on the group control computer, and click the "中" in the lower right corner to change it to "英".
