WE DO Distributed Storage Consensus Innovation Summit and WorldDatabase Innovation and Advancement 100 Cities China Tour Second Stop Successfully Completed in Changsha, Hunan - Block Technology

On June 5, the WE DO Distributed Storage Consensus Innovation Summit and the second stop of the WorldDatabase Innovation and Advancement 100 Cities China Tour were grandly held in Changsha, Hunan. The summit was hosted by WorldDatabase and Spider Cloud Mine. The partner organizations included many well-known computing power providers and service providers in the industry, and blockchain media such as Block Technology, Lieyun Finance, Liandede, and Block Star Map were specially invited to report and support the whole process.

This summit focused on the distributed storage track and specially invited guests with professional investment institution backgrounds and blockchain industry experience to hold roundtable discussions on topics such as the future of distributed storage, computing power economy, and new opportunities for new infrastructure. Throughout the summit, the feast of knowledge was one after another, and the participants on site gained a lot.

At the beginning of the conference, Chen Lichang, the president of Spider Cloud Mine Market Operations, gave a keynote speech entitled "The Past and Present of Spider Cloud Mine". In his speech, he said that 2021 is the year when distributed storage will enter a period of explosion, and 2021 will definitely be the year of distributed storage. The "Implementation Plan for the National Integrated Data Center and Collaborative Computing Hub" recently issued by the National Development and Reform Commission clearly proposed the layout of the national hub nodes of the national computing network, the launch of the "East Data West Computing" project, and the construction of a national computing network system. This has actually pointed out the trend for everyone. WorldDatabase is committed to building an infrastructure for decentralized applications, which will store data in shards on storage nodes around the world. Afterwards, Akira Kimura, a master of finance from the School of Economics at Peking University, gave a speech titled "Disruptive Application Scenarios of Distributed Storage". In his speech, he said that data conflicts and data monopoly conflicts have become increasingly intense, and distributed storage is becoming more mature. The essence of data problems is consistency problems, and consistency problems are consensus algorithms, which derive monetary consensus. At present, there are actually only three consensus algorithms: lottery-based, voting-based, and based on existing rights. In the constant alternation between centralization and decentralization, human society has been able to move forward.

After the speech, the roundtable discussion began. The theme of the first roundtable discussion was: Opportunities of new infrastructure under the general trend. The moderator was Tang Jirong, founder of Yizhi Capital. The guests were Zhang Jun, founder of Crypto Capital, Liu Xiaojun, founding partner of PIN FUND & CEO of Hong Kong Pulse Crypto Capital, Li Caihong, partner of Sunzhi Capital & partner of Kuaimi Consulting, Qin Yushuai, VP of Coinworld Investment, and Yuanyuan, VP of Amber Capital.

Zhang Jun, founder of Crypto Capital, said that trusted data is particularly important, and blockchain can make data more transparent. In the past, CCTV only had one channel, but later it gradually failed to meet the needs of the audience. Now there is actually more and more data, such as Tesla's driving data. As car sales and mileage increase, the data will become more and more. It is not enough to rely solely on centralized companies, and distributed storage is needed. This is the opportunity for distributed storage.

Liu Xiaojun, founding partner of PIN FUND and CEO of Hong Kong Pulse Crypto Capital, said that the openness, transparency and privacy protection of blockchain can provide underlying technology for new infrastructure, and blockchain solves the problems we face in data transformation.

Li Caihong, partner of SunZhi Capital and KuaMi Consulting, said that blockchain and new infrastructure have one thing in common, which is data. For example, the Yangtze River Delta region combines some subway data with blockchain, which can make the data circulate more transparently. Blockchain makes data more transparent, thereby better enabling new infrastructure.

Qin Yushuai, VP of CoinWorld Investment, said that the new infrastructure focuses on the new, and the inclusion of blockchain in the new infrastructure will allow more people to understand blockchain. We currently have a cooperative project with the Beijing Municipal Government, which will put many government affairs on the chain, making them more open and transparent, and using blockchain technology to better serve the people.

Yuanyuan, VP of Amber Capital, said that since blockchain was included in the new infrastructure last year, there has been more and more research and discussion on blockchain. In the future, industries such as artificial intelligence and AI will be inseparable from blockchain technology. Blockchain will be combined with more industries, such as blockchain medical care and blockchain finance, to better serve the real economy.

The theme of the second roundtable forum was Distributed Storage·Media Perspective. The participating guests were all media practitioners from the front line of the industry. The forum was hosted by Ma Li, the founder of Ma Li Da Ka Tan. There were four guests, including Wang Xuejing, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Lieyun Finance, Daoerji, executive deputy editor-in-chief of Liandede & ChianDD East China, Cheng Zhipeng, a financial commentator, and Jay, editor-in-chief of Block Star Map. The guests unanimously agreed that distributed storage, as the infrastructure of the blockchain industry, is in line with the policy of the national computing power hub and new infrastructure, and is bound to usher in explosive growth in 2021.
