WE DO Distributed Storage Consensus Innovation Summit and WorldDatabase Innovation and Advancement 100 Cities China Tour Third Stop Successfully Held in Chengdu, Sichuan - Block Technology

On June 20, the WE DO Distributed Storage Consensus Innovation Summit and the third stop of the WorldDatabase Innovation and Advancement Hundred Cities China Tour were grandly held in Chengdu, Sichuan. The summit was hosted by WorldDatabase and Spider Cloud Mine. The guests attending the summit came from many well-known investment institutions in the industry, and blockchain media such as Block Technology, Liandede, and Block Star Map were specially invited to report and support the whole process.

This summit focused on the distributed storage track and specially invited guests with professional investment institution backgrounds and blockchain industry experience to hold roundtable discussions on topics such as the future of distributed storage, computing power economy, and new opportunities for new infrastructure. At the beginning of the conference, Lu Jun, Deputy Director-General of the World Blockchain Organization, Executive Director and Vice Chairman of the Application Innovation Working Committee of the Internet Society of China, and Founder and Chairman of the China 5G Short Video Live Broadcasting (Internet Celebrity Economy) Industry Alliance, delivered a keynote speech on the theme of "Digital Economy New Infrastructure Digital Asset Blockchain". In his speech, he pointed out that digital economy and digital assets have been included in the scope of national new infrastructure, and the digital economy era corresponds to data assets. The underlying infrastructure - new infrastructure, core competitive advantages - new content, and the architecture of the star-absorbing method - new traffic are the three most important aspects of the digital economy era. In the 5G era, artificial intelligence will greatly improve productivity, big data will greatly enrich the means of production, and blockchain will optimize the existing production relations. This will gradually become apparent over time. To sum up briefly, the essence of the digital economy is big data, the direction of development is integration with the industry, the path and performance are "Internet +", and the future will enter the new model of "blockchain ×".

Next, Wang Xuezong, the founding president of the 100 Blockchain Economists Association, the initiator of the chain reform experiment, and the initiator of the Greyhound Virtual Asset Allocation DAO, gave a keynote speech on "Comparative Analysis of Economic Models of Distributed Storage". In his speech, he pointed out that the traditional economy is now facing problems such as zero-sum games and winner-takes-all. With the advent of the data economy era, digital assets will become the main wealth of the data economy era. As the source of technology, blockchain will lead the fourth generation of technological revolution. Distributed ledger technology has caused an explosive growth in the demand for information storage, and distributed storage will become the infrastructure of the digital economy.

Mr. Han Feng, a visiting scholar at Columbia University, a mentor at Tsinghua University iCenter, the first rotating curator of the China Fund Museum, a former blockchain consultant at Huawei Research Institute, the secretary-general of the DACA Blockchain Association, a director of the Elastos Foundation, and the author of "The Wealth of Nations on Blockchain", shared his views on the theme of "The Logic of Wealth". He said that the consensus trend of blockchain wealth cannot be reversed, and we must improve our cognition and deepen our understanding. The recent cleanup is actually a conflict between traditional wealth logic and modern wealth logic. The essence of wealth is not a thing, but a global wealth consensus. Through distributed computing, blockchain has achieved true data rights confirmation and can reach a global wealth consensus. Let us work together for the benefit of the country!

Leo, a technical application analyst of Spider Cloud Mining, gave a keynote speech on the technical architecture of WorldDatabase. In his speech, he said that blockchain applications have been placed at the national strategic level, but blockchain technology is currently facing some bottlenecks, such as low TPS efficiency, the underlying data storage facilities need to be improved, and asset islands have not yet been connected on a large scale. WorldDatabase can easily complete data generation, calculation, transmission, storage, and retrieval by providing infinitely scalable block storage, file storage, object storage, KV storage, and table storage. Finally, a self-organizing and self-managing data management system will be formed in the cloud.

Chang Chen, vice president of Spider Cloud Academy, delivered a keynote speech on the "Vision of the Value of Spider Cloud Mine Distributed Storage". He pointed out that from 2016 to 2020, the amount of data generated globally will grow at an annual compound rate of 18%. In 2020, the amount of data is expected to reach 175ZB, and 490EB of data will need to be stored every day. Massive data storage and retrieval will bring development opportunities to distributed storage, which will shine in the 5G and AI era.

After the speech session, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony between Spider Cloud Mine and Rig 177 was held on site. Yao Jingyuan, Chief Strategy Officer of Spider Cloud Hong Kong and Executive President of Spider Cloud Chengdu, and Ouyang Hongru, Business Operations Director of Chengdu Rig Tianfu Cultural and Creative Development Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony together.

Then, we came to the roundtable forum. The theme of the first roundtable forum was: Distributed Storage - New Infrastructure, New Opportunities. The host was Tang Jirong, founder of Yizhi Capital, and the roundtable guests were Zhang Jun, founder of Crypto Capital, James, partner of Turing Capital, Yara, brand director of Ke Yin Capital/founder of Muddy Waters PR, and Shao Yi, partner of Bitlite Capital.

Zhang Jun, founder of Crypto Capital, said that distributed storage pursues encryption and decentralization, which is the biggest difference between cloud storage and distributed storage.

James, partner of Turing Capital, said that with the development of the industry and the full competition, the distributed storage industry will also usher in a winner-takes-all situation. It is still in an early stage and contains great opportunities.

Yara, Brand Director of Collins Capital and Founder of Muddy Waters PR, said that under the current situation, POW mining is no longer popular, and distributed storage has ushered in an opportunity. Distributed storage will become an important part of blockchain technology in the future, and the pricing power of cloud storage is in the hands of a few companies, facing data privacy and security issues that need to be resolved urgently.

Shao Yi, partner of Bitlite Capital, said that centralized cloud is already very complete, but as a blockchain practitioner, he is more concerned about data encryption and data security. He hopes that the privacy of stored data can be protected. After 519 this year, distributed storage will usher in new opportunities.

There were 4 guests, including Daoerji, executive deputy editor-in-chief of Liandede & ChianDD East China, Cheng Zhipeng, a financial commentator, Jay, editor-in-chief of Block Star Map, and Kaige, a financial self-media coin circle. The guests unanimously agreed that distributed storage, as the infrastructure of the blockchain industry, is in line with the policy of national computing power hubs and new infrastructure. It is still in an early stage of ecological construction. After the ecological construction is completed, it is expected to usher in an explosive period of application.
