According to Coindesk on July 22, Australian digital and cryptocurrency company Mawson Infrastructure has purchased hundreds of new mining machines from Canaan Technology. Mawson said that it has received 250 Bitmain Antminer S19 Pro mining machines and expects to receive 570 Avalon A1246 mining machines from Canaan and put them into operation by the end of this month. It is expected that there will be another 588 Avalon A1246 mining machines, adding about 125 PH to its existing business. Mawson also said that coupled with the low electricity cost (less than 4c/kwh) at its site in Georgia, USA, it is expected that the break-even cost per Bitcoin will be less than $4,000, and based on the current Bitcoin price and network difficulty, its gross profit margin will exceed 80%. |
