According to data compiled by The Block Research, Bitcoin miners generated approximately $1.41 billion in revenue in August. The monthly figure is lower than the all-time peak of $1.75 billion set in March, but is up about 45% from July's $971.83 million. The vast majority of August's revenue figure came in the form of block subsidies, or the 6.25 BTC that miners receive when they successfully create a block.

According to data from OKEx Chain Master, Ethereum miners earned a total of $1.516 billion in August, up 38.95% from $1.091 billion in July. Block reward revenue was $1.307 billion, and fee revenue was $209 million, accounting for 16.2%. More data shows that Ethereum miners’ fee revenue has fallen sharply since May 19, after peaking at more than 70%. This means that even with the current popularity of NFTs, Ethereum miners’ fee revenue has not increased significantly.
