Data: ETH destroyed more than it produced in the past 24 hours, achieving negative issuance for the first time

On September 4, ETH Burn Bot tweeted that a total of 13,485.5 ETH was issued yesterday, and a total of 13,838.3717 ETH was destroyed. The destruction amount exceeded the issuance amount, and the annual inflation rate was -0.11%.

In addition, Ethereum developer Evan Van Ness also tweeted that due to EIP 1559, the amount of ETH destroyed in the past 24 hours exceeded the amount of output, achieving negative issuance. According to calculations, ETH issues 9.45 ETH per minute, while destroying 9.6 ETH per minute. Evan said he was 99% sure that this was the first time negative issuance was achieved.
