Ukraine’s President Has Sent a Team to El Salvador for Crypto Fact-Finding

On September 14, Ukrainian President Zelensky has sent a team to El Salvador for a fact-finding mission to help its cryptocurrency adoption plan. According to local professor Vyacheslav Evgenyev, the Ukrainian president wants to introduce a dual currency system featuring Bitcoin and the hryvnia by early 2023. In addition, he also mentioned the possibility of pushing BTC as the dominant currency among the two currencies. Earlier news, the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) passed the Virtual Assets Bill, and virtual assets such as cryptocurrencies were officially legalized in the country. |
