Russia’s Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseev said on Tuesday that the government has no plans to impose a ban on cryptocurrency trading. According to Moiseev, citizens will be able to buy digital assets and use crypto wallets in foreign exchange transactions. However, he also stressed that the ban on cryptocurrency payments will remain in place. “For now, I can say that cryptocurrency settlements are prohibited,” Moiseev said. At the same time, citizens can buy (cryptocurrencies) outside of Russia and use e-wallets. I believe that things will remain the same for now. As of now, there are no plans to change anything.” |
