The United States replaces China as the world's largest Bitcoin mining country, followed by Kazakhstan, Russia

Data released by the Center for Alternative Finance at the University of Cambridge in the UK on the 13th showed that the United States has replaced China as the world's largest Bitcoin mining country.

As of the end of August, the United States' Bitcoin computing power accounted for 35.4% of the world's total computing power, ranking first, followed by Kazakhstan and Russia.
Data shows that in May this year, China's Bitcoin mining computing power accounted for 44% of the world's total computing power, but after the Chinese government banned Bitcoin mining, China's share of the global Bitcoin mining computing power fell to zero in July. In 2019, China's Bitcoin mining computing power once accounted for 75% of the world's total.
According to the French Broadcasting Corporation, data shows that China's strict crackdown on domestic Bitcoin trading and mining at the end of May this year has caused a significant blow to the industry, and mining machines have ceased operations or moved abroad. It is reported that Bitcoin uses a lot of electricity during the mining process, which is accused of wasting energy. At the same time, unregulated cryptocurrencies may threaten financial security.
