Ezil launches single mining opportunities for ETH and ETC

How does single mining work?

As we all know, in Ezil miners can choose ETH/ETC+ ZIL mining. Most of the time we mine ETH or ETC, and switch to ZIL for a few seconds at the beginning of the ZIL round. After the ZIL round is over, we switch the miner back to ETC/ETH. If now you want to mine ETH or ETC alone, you can do so without switching to the ZIL round, but it will require you to join the new EZIL pool (see available ports below). In theory, ETH/ETC will have the same PPS+PPLNS round, just without ZIL. This means that ETH and ETC miners will get a little more rewards in ETH/ETC, but will not get ZIL.

Why do we do this?

Miners have been asking from time to time if they can mine just ZIL or just ETH. With some of our major competitors recently being forced to shut down their operations, our pool has gotten more exposure. We realize there is huge growth potential for Ethereum mining pools running on ASICs, but ASIC machines are not suitable for mining ETH+ZIL, so we decided to explore solo mining opportunities.

Your payment plan will remain the same as it is now. But don’t forget to set a gas price for ETH payments when migrating from the ETC+ZIL pool.
