Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission: Differentiated electricity prices will be implemented for virtual currency "mining" projects

The Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission issued the "Notice on the Implementation of Differential Electricity Price Policy for Virtual Currency "Mining" Electricity", which will be implemented from the date of issuance. The "Notice" points out: 1. Differential electricity prices will be implemented for virtual currency "mining" projects. Virtual currency "mining" projects will be included in the scope of implementation of the differential electricity price policy, and the "eliminated" enterprise electricity price will be implemented, with an increase of 1 yuan per kilowatt-hour. The Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission will promptly update the list of virtual currency "mining" projects, and the power grid company will collect the surcharge electricity fee in a timely and full manner according to the project list to ensure that the differential electricity price policy is strictly implemented. 2. Virtual currency "mining" projects are prohibited from participating in electricity market transactions. Strengthen the supervision of the order of the electricity market, strengthen the identification of corporate users participating in the electricity market, prohibit virtual currency "mining" projects from participating in electricity market transactions under any name, and prohibit virtual currency "mining" projects from enjoying electricity market concessions in any way. Virtual currency "mining" projects that have participated in electricity market transactions will stop trading from the date the list is announced. 3. It is prohibited to connect to power lines with low electricity prices without authorization to carry out virtual currency "mining". According to the relevant provisions of the "Power Supply Business Rules", if you connect high-priced power equipment or change the power category without authorization on a low-priced power supply line, you should pay the difference in electricity charges according to the actual date of use and bear the breach of contract electricity charges of twice the difference in electricity charges. If the start and end dates of use are difficult to determine, the actual use time is calculated as three months.
