2022 may be destined to be an extraordinary year. In the depression phase of the Kondratieff cycle, the sharply contracting economy squeezed everyone together, like hedgehogs approaching each other, and they would prick each other if they were not careful. The long-accumulated social tensions within countries are approaching the critical point, pushing the national Leviathan to transfer conflicts and release pressure outward. The international order is in ruins, with brazen fighting, robbery, sanctions, and even war.

Currency inflation, wealth deflation. The turbulence of the world environment is directly reflected in the ups and downs of the financial market. Bitcoin (BTC) has been fluctuating recently and is very unstable. It rose from 37k to 42k two days ago, and fell from 42k to 38k yesterday, and is currently hovering at 39k.

Good news and bad news are just a waste of time. Good and bad things happen at any time, everything is determined by fate.

Bodhisattvas fear causes, and sentient beings fear consequences. Most people see prices and worry about prices. When prices rise, they shout blockchain revolution; when prices fall, they shout blockchain scam.

Price is just one result. If you only focus on one result and worry about one result, it does not mean that you will get a good result.

Just like an exam, the score is just a result. The more you want to get a high score, the harder it is to get a high score. All your energy is spent on worrying about the score, instead of focusing on how to get a high score and what actions to take.

Another example is business, profit is only a result. If you only focus on profit and think about making money, your business will often fail, you will suffer losses, and even resort to unscrupulous means and go astray. This is also because you pay too much attention to the results and not pay attention to the reasons.

Ordinary people fear the consequences, while Bodhisattvas fear the causes. Bodhisattvas do not worry about the results, but only about the causes, and worry about whether every thought and action is planting the seeds of good or laying the groundwork for evil.

Confucius said, "Do not refrain from doing good deeds even if they are small, and do not do bad deeds even if they are small." With the right original intention, making the right decision, and taking the right action, it is only a matter of time before we get good results.

Yangming said that everyone can be a saint. I think everyone can be a bodhisattva. If you always fear the consequences, you are an ordinary person. If you always fear the causes, you are a bodhisattva - at least, you are on the path to becoming a bodhisattva.

There are prices in the eyes, but no prices in the heart. There are ups and downs in the eyes, but no ups and downs in the heart. Because you know that price and profit and loss are just a result, what you really need to worry about is the cause of this result; what you really need to care about is the action that brings about this result.

Most people lose money not because they don’t want to make profits, but because they do things that cause losses every day.

A few people make profits, but they don’t talk much about profits or losses. They just keep exploring and practicing the right methods in obscurity.

The third line of Qian Gua says, "A gentleman works hard all day and is vigilant at night, so he will not make mistakes." If you insist on doing the right thing, not blindly following others, not drifting with the crowd, you will be like a dragon leaping into the abyss, and that will be the natural result.

If you only want good results but are unwilling to sow good causes, isn't that just building castles in the air? There are too many people who are eager for quick success and instant benefits. When you enter a temple, you kneel down to worship the Bodhisattva, and your mind is nothing but seeking something. This person just doesn't know that the Bodhisattva is actually within himself.

Instead of looking for a result outside, it is better to look for a cause inside. Think carefully about what you should do and how you should act, so that you can sow good causes and hope.
