Physiognomy analysis: seeing health through the skin

In physiognomy , not only a person’s hair, palm lines, nails, etc. can be used to predict health, but also the skin. So how do we predict health from the skin? The following is an article compiled by the editor, let’s take a look.

Identifying diseases from skin color
1. Pale and bloodless face - may be suffering from anemia.

2. Yellow skin color - a manifestation of hepatitis, cirrhosis, bile duct obstruction or hemolytic anemia.

3. Evenly dark skin - related to chronic diseases such as adrenal disease, chronic kidney disease, and Addison's disease.

4. Ruddy face - indicates high blood lipids and blood pressure.

5. Dull skin, lack of luster - be careful of excessive psychological stress.

Identify diseases from skin papules
1. Yellow-brown papules, plaques or patches (generalized flat xanthocarpus) appear on the face, trunk and limbs - there is a 50% chance that it is related to multiple myeloma, while some are related to increased blood lipids.

2. Recurrent wheals on the skin, accompanied by itching (chronic urticaria) - some are related to Helicobacter pylori infection in the stomach, some are related to hepatitis B virus carriage, and some are even related to chronic cholecystitis, rheumatic diseases, and rotten teeth.

3. The skin becomes red, swollen, and develops wheals with itching when exposed to cold wind or cold water (cold urticaria) - this is related to cryoglobulinemia or multiple myeloma.

4. Papules, nodules, and erosions appear on the skin, which are painless and itchy (cutaneous cryptococcosis) - there may be cryptococcosis of the brain or lungs.

5. Bullae, blisters, and papules grow on the skin, accompanied by oral erosions (skin bullous disease) - often a paraneoplastic herpes, which is related to lung, abdominal, gynecological tumors, etc.

Identify diseases from skin plaques and nodules
1. There are yellow-brown nodules or plaques on the eyelid skin (xanthocarpus) - this may be due to high blood lipids.

2. There are butterfly spots on the face, which are aggravated by sun exposure - the probability of suffering from systemic lupus erythematosus is high.

3. Purple-red, infiltrative (somewhat thick) erythema appears on the face and around the eye sockets - this may be a change of dermatomyositis. Dermatomyositis in patients over 40 years of age is often associated with tumors, especially nasopharyngeal carcinoma. If you closely monitor skin changes, you can detect tumors four to five months earlier.

4. Flame-like erythema on the chest - carcinoid syndrome or dermatomyositis, indicating that there may be tumors in the internal organs such as the digestive system, gynecology, male urogenital system or lungs.

5. Greasy patches and scabs appear on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and in the nasolabial folds, causing itching. In severe cases, the patches may spread to the chest, armpits, and groin (severe seborrheic dermatitis) - often related to AIDS.

6. Purple or dark red lumps appear on the skin - tumors, which are often in the late stage of AIDS.

7. There are some nodules or abscesses on the skin similar to erythema nodosum, which often indicates intestinal Crohn's disease, that is, chronic ulcerative colitis.

8. There are multiple dark red or normal skin-colored nodules on the skin, which are painless and itchy and accompanied by fever - be alert to the possibility of skin metastasis of leukemia.

Identify diseases from acne, moles and other symptoms on the skin
1. If a woman still has acne after puberty, has thick hair and beard, and has irregular menstruation, she may have polycystic ovary syndrome.

2. Black moles on the lips, especially the lower lip, are usually related to intestinal polyps, which is the pigmented intestinal polyposis syndrome.

3. Chronic disease patients have a large number of white spots or patches in their mouths (thrush) - they may also have candidal infections in the lungs or internal organs.

The skin is on the surface, so it is easy to detect diseases. You can refer to the content of the article, and I hope it will be helpful to you.
