Third, do not wear Buddhist beads when you smoke or touch onions, garlic, leeks with your hands or drink alcohol, and do not spit smoke onto the beads.
Fourth, when Buddhist beads are not in use or worn, they should be placed in the Buddhist hall or in front of the Buddha statue. People who like to burn incense can fumigate them with incense before using them every morning.
Fifth, do not let others touch your Buddhist beads at will, and do not touch other people’s Buddhist beads at will.
Sixth, Buddhist beads should not be placed in trouser pockets, let alone in back pockets.
