If we sincerely remember and visualize the Buddha, how can our appearance not become beautiful? Many scriptures tell us that the appearance of Buddha is the best appearance! When we chant the Buddha’s name, there is Buddha in our hearts, and our appearance will unconsciously become that of Buddha. If we want to have a good appearance, we should chant Buddha’s name more often. By chanting the Buddha's name and visualizing the Buddha, your body and mind will gradually become like the Buddha. When Shakyamuni Buddha thought of Amitabha Buddha, his appearance changed into that of Amitabha Buddha, displaying incomparable majesty and solemnity. After the age of thirty-five, your heart determines your appearance… There is an old saying: If there is heart but no appearance, the appearance follows the heart; if there is appearance but no heart, the appearance disappears with the heart. This sentence shows that a person's appearance will change depending on whether his thoughts are good or evil. Even though he has a ferocious face now, as long as he often has a compassionate heart, the ferocious face will soon turn into a lucky one. On the other hand, even if he has a lucky face now, if he does not know how to do good deeds and accumulate virtue, and often has thoughts of greed and hatred, then the lucky face will gradually disappear. This shows that a person who is handsome, fair-skinned, radiant, with a flexible body and hands, who is loved by everyone and who people never get tired of looking at, is the result of practicing forbearance.
