Those with soft and delicate hands are elegant and noble; those with fragrant and moist hands are elegant and refined. The palm of the hand can reflect a person's life experience. The hands of working people must be rough, and the hands of rich daughters must be delicate, but this is by no means destined to be noble or humble. It is not people's palms that determine their destiny or experience, but their experience that determines the roughness or tenderness of their palms to a certain extent.

The complexion shows whether the internal organs are healthy. Volume 12 describes the five colors: gold is the god of the lungs, wood and green are the god of the liver and hair, water and black are the god of the kidneys, fire and red are the god of the heart, and earth and green are the god of the spleen. This is similar to the theory of complexion in traditional Chinese medicine. However, the book links complexion with parents' disasters, imprisonment, etc., which is completely unreasonable.
