Bitcoin Vietnam welcomes the first Vietnamese merchant to accept Bitcoin payments

Bitcoin Vietnam is the first Bitcoin trading platform in Vietnam. Recently, the trading platform announced good news: Future.Travel, the first merchant in Vietnam, accepts Bitcoin payments.

Future.Travel is a travel agency in Ho Chi Minh City that provides consumers with services such as air tickets, cruises, tours and hotel accommodation.

Users can now use Bitcoin to purchase air tickets on Future.Travel’s online service platform. Although only air tickets are currently accepted as payment in Bitcoin, this is a good start.

Dominik Weil, general manager of Bitcoin Vietnam, said:

“Since its establishment last year, our trading platform has been committed to providing consumers with digital currency, an advanced payment method. From the perspective of global development, Bitcoin payment is rapidly becoming popular, and many governments are beginning to pay attention to this emerging technology.”

Weir further added:

“We are very happy to see Future.Travel provide consumers with a bitcoin payment option. Because every bitcoin payment completed on Future.Travel means the development of digital currency in Vietnam. Our trading platform is also committed to creating a better consumption experience and payment processing function for consumers and merchants.”

Bitcoin Vietnam launched a remittance service called “cash2vn” in early June this year to provide people with a better alternative to traditional bank remittances, and also provide remittance services to people who do not have bank accounts or in areas where banking service facilities are not well developed.
