Japanese Bitcoin Company Bitflyer Receives 510 Million Yen Investment

Today, Bitflyer announced that it has completed a financing of approximately 510 million yen (approximately 4.08 million U.S. dollars). Investors include Mitsubishi UFJ Capital Co., Ltd. under Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Dentsu Digital Holdings, Inc., a venture capital company under Dentsu Group, QUICK Corp., a financial information provider under Nikkei Group, MITSUI SUMITOMO INSURANCE Venture Capital Co., Ltd., Venture Labo Investment Co., Ltd., etc.

Bitflyer completed a $1.1 million financing in January this year. Since then, Bitflyer has launched many new services, including bitFlyer Lightning, a Bitcoin trading platform designed for professionals, chainflyer a visual blockchain viewing website, Bitflyer Android version, adflyer a Bitcoin-based advertising service, and the latest Bitcoin multi-signature security service.

Bitflyer plans to use the latest round of financing to create a stronger security environment for customers to trade Bitcoin, establish an enterprise management infrastructure and a solid management system. In addition, Bitflyer will synergize the advantages of various investment institutions to continue to expand its user base, increase platform revenue and expand global business.
