Bitcoin Group plans IPO

The price of Bitcoin hit a high and then fell in the Asian session on Tuesday (September 8), and the volatility of the recent trend has increased.

The quotes released by BITSTAMP showed that Bitcoin/US dollar (XBT/USD) continued to fluctuate widely in the range of 239-242 yesterday. It once surged above 243 in the Asian session of this trading day, but then fell back to the 242 level.

The quotes released by KRAKEN showed that Bitcoin/Euro (XBT/EUR) fluctuated sharply in the range of 214.50-217.50 yesterday. It once rose to 218 level during this trading day, but then fell back to around 216.50.

In the industry, Melbourne-based Bitcoin company Bitcoin Group plans to raise A$20 million (approximately US$13.82 million) through an IPO on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), with an expected issuance date of November 11, 2015.

Bitcoin Group plans to issue 100 million new shares at an issue price of A$0.20 to raise A$20 million.

As of June 30, 2015, the financial status of Bitcoin Group was as follows: total operating income of A$1.74 million, gross profit of A$431,000, net profit after tax of A$10,000, and comprehensive income of A$69,000.

At 11:32 Beijing time on September 8, Bitcoin/USD was 241.83 and Bitcoin/Euro was 216.56.
