As the pace of development in today's society accelerates, we often forget some of the things that are mundane but precious to us. Nowadays, we see a lot of disturbing reports about refugees, terrorism, financial chaos, etc. every day. Some people begin to wonder whether the core values of this society (such as peace) have collapsed. FoxBit, the largest Bitcoin exchange in Latin America, launched a campaign called "Bitcoin Fights for Peace" in the hope of attracting people's attention to peace and cherishing it more. United Bitcoin Exchange Donates Transaction FeesOne of the main purposes of this event is to establish and improve the public image of virtual currency, but this is not an easy task. In fact, Bitcoin has been making various efforts to establish its own image since its birth, because virtual currency is often associated with scams, Ponzi schemes and illegal activities. However, this event may be an opportunity for Bitcoin to improve its image. Today, September 21st, is an important date because it is the International Day of Peace, and refugees living in conflict areas will receive support from charities around the world. FoxBit hopes that more Bitcoin trading platforms will join this event to raise funds to help those in need, including Ebola patients, victims of terrorist attacks, and unfortunate people in various countries. International Peace Day was created by the United Nations in 1981, and the theme is different every year. This year's theme will be "Uniting for Peace, so that everyone can live with dignity", which is a very good theme. In the next few weeks, companies around the world will take action to respond to the UN's call. FoxBit is the first Bitcoin company to publicly support the International Day of Peace, hoping to take the lead and attract more Bitcoin exchanges to participate. In recent years, Bitcoin has made considerable contributions to donations, and charitable organizations have begun to accept virtual currency payments. But these efforts would not be possible without the support of the Bitcoin community itself. Non-FoxBit users are welcome to donateIf other bitcoin exchanges don’t join FoxBit’s efforts, cryptocurrency users don’t necessarily have to participate through their trading platforms. FoxBit has created a donation address to which all members of the bitcoin community can send donations as they wish. The money raised from the community members will be added to the total raised on September 21. FoxBit will process the donations and send them to the appropriate organizations. It is not yet clear whether the donations will be in the form of Bitcoin or fiat currency to those in need. According to relevant reports, Foxbit will donate the funds to the non-governmental organization Doctors Without Borders (also known as Doctors Without Borders, or MSF). Considering that the NGO is a global organization that aims to help people in need around the world, it is a perfect choice for Foxbit. |
