Bitcoin House News September 23 CoinDesk news London Bitcoin blockchain startup Everledger won the joint championship in the European Open Talent Competition hosted by Spanish Bank Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria ( BBVA ). The startup, which uses blockchain technology to tackle diamond fraud and theft, won a € 30,000 prize and an invitation to participate in a development project with a multinational bank. Everledger will face off against previous winners of the DF finals in New York, USA, and Mexico, which are bitcoin and blockchain startups Safello and Vaultoro , respectively . Everledger ’s win with Origin — a market that links issues and investors in the corporate bond market — comes after bitcoin platform Bitnexo won the Latin American final and Chilean startup Destacame . BBVA Private Equity participated in a $ 75 million funding round for Coinbase . BBVA is also one of nine international banking groups participating in R3CEV ’s effort to develop a universal blockchain standard. |
