How is itBit’s Bitcoin OTC service performing?

itBit launched its Bitcoin over-the-counter (OTC) service in July this year, becoming the first Bitcoin exchange to offer such a service. So how has itBit performed since launching the service?

itBit recently announced the performance of its Bitcoin OTC trading in July, August and September on its official blog, with the aim of providing much-needed transparency to Bitcoin OTC traders.

itBit said in a blog post that the fact that market data on bitcoin over-the-counter transactions had not been made public had left traders vulnerable to inflated prices.

“For traders, the OTC execution and spot price at the time of trading are the two most important data (see the chart below).”

itBit encourages users to share the detailed charts they create.

“Because this data can bring greater transparency to the bitcoin OTC market and help traders make more informed decisions.”
