Financial services provider UpChi recently announced that its platform transaction volume has exceeded US$5 billion. Anthony Watson, President and CEO of Uphold, posted on his blog today:
In October this year, BitStorage changed its name to Uphold, which also means that Uphold has transformed from providing currency conversion services to providing more comprehensive financial services. Uphold was founded in 2014 by CNET founder Halsey Minor, and this year former Nike CIO Anthony Watson became the company's CEO. When Shangchi was first launched, it only provided the exchange between Bitcoin and five legal currencies (including RMB). Since then, it has supported bank accounts and Bitcoin in 33 countries to top up Shangchi accounts, and also allows credit cards and debit cards to be bound to Shangchi accounts. Halsey Minor, the founder of Uphold, recently announced the virtual reality project "Voxelus" that he led to develop, and will soon launch a new digital currency - Voxels. Halsey Minor said that Voxels will be traded on the Uphold exchange and will become the only digital currency supported by the exchange besides Bitcoin. Editor: Meng Dada |
