Crypti releases Chinese version of light wallet client

Crypti is a Dapp platform released in June 2014. It is a full-featured Dapp open platform based on Node.js. It allows developers to create, publish and distribute Dapps driven by cryptocurrency systems (blockchain systems) on the Crypti platform. By using the Crypti platform, you can create custom blockchains, smart contracts, cloud storage and computing nodes on it, all of which are provided by the Crypti client.

Crypti has several community-recognized characteristics: focusing on user experience and interface design, paying attention to the opinions of community members, and attaching importance to resources. This may be related to the fact that Crypti stopped crowdfunding after raising 750 BTC publicly last year.

A few days ago, Crypti released a multilingual wallet, and the Chinese version of the wallet was developed and designed as soon as possible at the request of community members. We interviewed Max Kordek, the community manager of the Crypti project. The 21-year-old college student gave us a detailed introduction to the development history of the Crypti project, key innovations, and his views on the Chinese market. Since its birth, Crypti has been inevitably compared with Ethereum in terms of crowdfunding amount and functions. In order to help users better understand Crypti, Max also made relevant comparative introductions in the interview. Special thanks to Luiz Chen from the Crypti Chinese community for his contact and cooperation.

8btc: Could you please introduce it to us again, what is Crypti?

Max: Crypti is a digital currency based on blockchain. Using brand new source code, we gradually build a mature system. On the one hand, Crypti uses the experience of other digital currencies in development, while also providing a new and unique perspective on how to ensure the security of digital currencies and what can be done with digital currencies.

Both Bitcoin and Ethereum use proof-of-work-based mining to keep the blockchain running. Crypti Network, on the other hand, is maintained by a授权股权证明共识模型with 101民选节点that continuously build transactions, charging an average of 0.1% of the network transaction fee per node.

This ensures that Crypti is an efficient network with a block time of only 10 seconds. Nodes can build and support the network with very little computing power and low memory usage. Therefore, there is no need for large-scale mining pools and no waste of natural resources. Crypti can also run on small and not very powerful devices, such as Raspberry Pi and other ARMv7-based devices.

In addition to being a digital currency, Crypti is also a decentralized application (DAPP) platform that provides a "full stack" solution for deploying applications on the blockchain. Applications are written in the programming language JavaScript and operate in the sandboxed Node.js runtime environment. Each decentralized application (DAPP) in the Crypti network has its own unique and customizable blockchain, which, like its parent Crypti, can be maintained by 101 elected master nodes.

Developers can publish their decentralized applications (dapps) in Crypti’s official DAPP store, which can provide consumers with a familiar user experience if not a superior one, giving them more choices outside of the existing dominant centralized solutions.

For startups looking for an ideal platform to promote their DAPPs, Crypti can be said to be the fastest to deploy and most democratic solution on the market.

8btc: What was the original intention of developing Crypti? Since the product was developed, what features have been improved or added in each version?

Max: More than a year ago, we observed the cryptocurrency market and found that all cryptocurrencies ignored three things:
1. A strong user experience is combined with strong设计
2. Provide可定制性for developers, making it easier to deploy applications based on digital currencies
3. A digital currency must have a勤恳专一的开发团队behind it

When we created Crypti, we took these three points into consideration, and our goal was to design Crypti to be the best digital currency. Today, we look back at Crypti and we can say that we have done it. In the past year, we have released many new features. We have released a total of 4 major versions.

Crypti v 0.1.x had Proof of Time and Proof of Purchase consensus built in, but we later found that this was flawed, so we started thinking about which consensus mechanism would be better. We eventually chose Delegated-Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) and released Crypti v0.2.x, which is still our best choice so far. By Crypti v0.3.x, we released a new design, usernames and contacts. This made our user experience superior to other cryptocurrencies. And our latest release Crypti v0.5.x brought DAPP applications, DAPP store and multi-signature. In the past year, we have developed many features independently, and we will continue to work hard to improve Crypti. For example, we will add custom tokens to our DAPP toolkit to enable crowdfunding features, or add game tokens to Crypti. We also want to improve the DAPP store functionality and add a responsive design so that users can access Crypti from their smartphones.

8btc: What are the key innovations of Crypti?

Max: It is easy to write DAPP in JavaScript, and DAPP is just like any other web application. You can control each DAPP with your custom blockchain (i.e. sidechain), which can be used as a distributed database for your application. Thanks to the efforts of Crypti developers, our world will create more decentralized games, services and tools, and all these DAPPs are published in the same place - Crypti Dapp Store.

8btc: What are the differences or advantages of Crypti compared to Ethereum?

Max: The biggest advantage of Crypti is JavaScript. Crypti is open to many JavaScript developers around the world to develop distributed applications, while Ethereum can only rely on customized languages like Serpent or Solidity.
The huge difference in technology is our sidechain. Each DAPP of Crypti runs on its own blockchain, which ensures that the main chain of Crypti will not become more and more redundant and more efficient, while Ethereum's contracts are all stored on the main chain, causing the main chain to become larger and larger. Ethereum was born not long ago, but the memory occupied by its blockchain has far exceeded 1GB.

Another advantage we have is our interconnected ecosystem. We have a great team, from support, to archive, to development. Our team has created an excellent client, and all development applications are implemented in one place, especially the Dapp store. Ethereum is decentralized; their core client is translated into a dozen different languages, and there are many different half-finished clients, which makes the future development of Ethereum full of variables and makes Ethereum not backward compatible (link), which means that developers will have to rewrite their distributed applications.

Of course, there are many other differences, but I think the above three are the most important. I have made a comparison chart between Crypti and Ethereum (link), you can refer to my summary and find the differences between the two. If you have any additions, please let me know.

8btc: Why did you only take 750 BTC from the pre-sale? How has the funding been used since the crowdfunding was completed?

Max: When we first IPO’d, we had a restriction on investors. In hindsight, we made a big mistake, as we are currently strapped for cash, so we have a very small budget for marketing and publicity.

The salaries of our designers and programmers, our infrastructure, the nodes we run, operating licenses, press releases, advertising, etc. all come from the IPO funds, so we minimize expenses and can say that we are the most efficient and economical digital currency team.

8btc: Why did you choose the DPOS consensus mechanism?

Max: The DPoS consensus mechanism enables us to reuse many parts of our distributed application system. Today, many businesses and individuals prefer permissioned ledgers, and our DAPP is built on this. Everyone can easily create their own permissioned ledger on Crypti or build applications using Crypti. For these, DPoS provides the best features because you can easily choose nodes to build your own permissioned ledger.

Why didn't we choose the proof of work mechanism? Because we think the proof of work mechanism is a wasteful algorithm and is not suitable for digital currency 2.0. POS is good, but the BitShares white paper proves that POS is not as secure as DPoS and is too complicated for users. So I personally think DPoS is the most suitable for Crypti.

8btc: I heard that the Chinese version of the light wallet client is about to be released. When will it be released? Can you introduce this light wallet client?

Max: It has been released! You can see it here. You can choose Windows system or Mac OSX system.

8btc: What are Crypti’s next development plans?

Max: Yes, we have many plans. We want to implement a响应式设计so that users can access their Crypti accounts at any time through their smartphones. We are also going to clean up the design of the client and integrate the DAPP store into the lite client. We are currently developing自定义代币for DAPPs, which can be used for game tokens or crowdfunding. An important part of our plan is to make it easier for users to update their DAPPs in the store. Currently in testing is our "Quick Start" feature. Currently, the Crypti blockchain needs to be loaded and verified at startup (of course, the full client!), and the "Quick Start" feature will speed up the startup process.

So you can see that we have many new things to launch this year. After that, we will focus on DAPP applications driven by the foundation.

8btc: What do you think of the Chinese market?

Max: The Chinese market is huge, and we hope to attract some Chinese JavaScript developers. Many different use cases can be driven by Crypti, such as decentralized VPN applications.

There are many market speculators in China, and we have made a lot of efforts to target them and get Crypti into the Chinese market. Our localized customer and China contact person Luiz is our first step. The next step is to list Crypti on Chinese exchanges. We hope that the Chinese community can give us more help to promote Crypti to be listed on Chinese exchanges.

8btc: Please tell us about your experience with digital currency. For example, when did you first come into contact with digital currency? When did you become interested in smart contracts? Why did you choose to join the Crypti team?

Max: A few years ago, I came across Litecoin and thought I could build some applications with it, like a casino game or a small community tool. But it turned out that the development process was quite complicated using either Litecoin or Bitcoin.

Later, I discovered the extremely easy to use API and I was hooked. Over the past few months, I have developed many tools for the NXT community, but I was frustrated that they integrated a lot of functionality in the client, because I thought a modular approach plus a store was better.

Finally, there is Crypti, and what this team has done is exactly what I have always wanted to do. It is a digital currency that provides basic functions (lightweight client, excellent user experience, encrypted tokens, enhanced security, multi-signature, etc.) and DAPPs. These DAPPs are like a modular approach; every function you want to add to Crypti can be implemented through a DAPP. It can be messages, text messages, social media functions, avatars, etc. Because each DAPP runs on its own sidechain, these features will not pollute Crypti's main chain, keeping the main chain small and more efficient.
