China UnionPay is publicly recruiting postdoctoral fellows to study virtual currency

According to the " China UnionPay Postdoctoral Research Station 2016 Recruitment Guide " published on the official website of China UnionPay , China UnionPay Postdoctoral Research Station will publicly recruit the first batch of postdoctoral researchers in 2016. The proposed research directions and topics include 8 major areas such as virtual currency research, cross-border payment research , and financial trusted execution environment security technology research .

As the core of China's bank card industry and inter-bank cross-border transaction clearing system, China UnionPay's public recruitment of postdoctoral fellows and research in the fields of virtual currency and cross-border payment show that the widespread implementation of Bitcoin in recent application scenarios has touched the nerves of Chinese government agencies. After many foreign governments and corporate financial institutions have once again launched a new round of research on virtual currency, Chinese financial institutions have also quietly joined the camp of in-depth research on virtual currency.

The first batch of postdoctoral recruitment guidelines

China UnionPay Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China UnionPay") is a Chinese bank card association established with the approval of the State Council and the People's Bank of China. It was established in March 2002 and is headquartered in Shanghai. It currently has nearly 300 domestic and foreign member institutions. As China's bank card association, China UnionPay is at the core and hub of China's bank card industry and plays a fundamental role in the development of China's bank card industry. Through the UnionPay inter-bank transaction clearing system, banks have achieved inter-system interconnection, thereby enabling bank cards to be used across banks, regions and borders.

China UnionPay Postdoctoral Workstation was established in 2013 with the approval of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. In order to continuously improve China UnionPay's independent research and development capabilities and innovation capabilities, increase the training of high-level talents, and build a first-class postdoctoral research workstation, we are now publicly recruiting the first batch of postdoctoral researchers in 2016. We sincerely welcome qualified people to apply. The relevant matters are announced as follows:

1. Admission Requirements

1. Excellent in both moral character and academic performance, in good health, and law-abiding;

2. Those who have obtained a doctoral degree in recent years at home or abroad, or are about to graduate from a doctoral program, or have just graduated from other postdoctoral research stations (workstations), and are under 40 years old;

3. The major studied is relevant to the postdoctoral research project of UnionPay, or there is sufficient disciplinary background support and certain research accumulation and ideas for the reported topic;

4. Published academic papers in academic journals;

5. In-service personnel must engage in postdoctoral research full-time and cannot work part-time;

6. Applicants with relevant experience will be given priority.

2. Research and application of financial cloud capability maturity model

3. Research on network information security attack and defense technologies for financial enterprises

4. Research on financial trusted execution environment security technology

5. Research on intelligent anti-fraud system driven by big data

7. Research on the application of Internet of Things in the payment field

IV. Application Requirements

Applicants for postdoctoral research please submit the following application materials by mail before December 31 , 2015 , and send the electronic materials to [email protected] . Application materials will not be returned.

1) Personal resume (including academic qualifications, work experience, research expertise, major research achievements, etc.);

2) Postdoctoral Application Form (can be downloaded from the website of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee);

3) Copies of doctoral degree certificates and doctoral degree certificates, or doctoral graduation certificates issued by the university in which the applicant is enrolled in 2015 ;

4) Doctoral dissertation or thesis draft and two representative academic research works;

5) Recommendation letters from two doctoral supervisors in related disciplines;

6) Research plan for the proposed topic ( 3000-5000 words);

7) Copies of ID card, marriage certificate, only child certificate and household registration booklet (card);

8) Two recent 2- inch bareheaded photos of the individual .

5. Recruitment Process

China UnionPay selects candidates in an open, fair and impartial manner. Candidates who pass the initial review will be notified by SMS, email or phone to take the written test and interview. The specific time will be notified separately. The main process is as follows:

1. Preliminary review of application materials;

2. Those who pass the initial review will participate in the interview.
