Using Bitcoin to buy coffee at Starbucks is now a reality

Bitcoin mobile wallet app Airbitz has partnered with Fold to enable Starbucks gift card app to accept Bitcoin to pay bills and deposit the money into their own app. When announcing the partnership with the Fold app, Airbitz said that this will benefit new people who are just starting to use Bitcoin and will encourage more consumers to start using Bitcoin. In addition, Fold will also allow users to enjoy certain discounts at Target and Whole Foods.

Many Bitcoin users have benefited from Fold's offer on Starbucks gift cards ; users can get a 20% discount when paying their bills with Bitcoin.

Airbitz simplifies the process of using Fold

Airbitz has further simplified the Fold process, which is already fairly simple, and even included it in a blog post. Using Airbitz 's buy and sell features, users can integrate the service with their bank accounts so that gift cards can be purchased directly.

According to the International Business Times, to implement the cooperation with Fold, Airbitz has developed aprons inspired by Starbucks. In addition, Airbitz will distribute more than 10,000 flyers outside coffee shops in the coming weeks.

How it works

Under the "Settings" feature of the Airbitz app, users can select "Buy/Sell/Spend." The settings feature will be on the left side of the Android device and on the right side of the iPhone operating system. Users can then choose whether to enjoy up to 20% off at Starbucks or Target. Funds can be added by selecting the amount of gift cards desired. Any remaining funds will be returned to the Airbitz app.
