Ma'anshan and Nanjing police jointly cracked a Bitcoin mining machine theft case involving 1.6 million yuan

On December 23, with the strong assistance of the Municipal Bureau and Nanjing Police, Yushan Branch used a variety of investigative methods to quickly solve a major burglary case involving collusion between insiders and outsiders, arrested four suspects, recovered all stolen goods worth more than 1.6 million yuan, and seized two vehicles used in the crime. This was another major victory since the launch of the "Safeguarding Peace - Winter Action" campaign against property infringement by the city's public security organs.

On December 7, the Yushan Branch received a report that 136 bitcoin "mining machines" of two models, S7 and S5+, were stolen from a breeding factory in Jiashan Township, with a total value of more than 1.6 million yuan. After the case was reported, Cong Hui, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, and Director of the Public Security Bureau, listened to work reports many times, inquired about the progress of the investigation, and asked the Yushan Branch to organize capable forces to solve the case as soon as possible. Xie Ping, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau, asked the Municipal Bureau's network security, criminal investigation and other relevant departments to provide technical support and investigative guidance. Through intensive investigations and with the strong cooperation of the Nanjing police, on December 15, the task force successfully arrested three suspects, Yang Moumou, Wang Mou, and Chen Moumou. Subsequently, with the strong support of the Municipal Detention Center, after five consecutive days of arduous interrogation and investigation, they finally broke through the psychological defenses of the suspects Yang Moumou, Wang Mou and others, and forced them to confess the facts of the crime and the hiding places of the stolen goods. On the afternoon of December 20, the task force took decisive action and successfully arrested the criminal suspect Chen Moumou in Nanjing, and successfully seized all 136 stolen Bitcoin "mining machines".

After investigation, it was found that in the early morning of December 7, the criminal suspect Yang hired the criminal suspects Wang and Chen to drive to the fence of the stolen breeding farm in our city, and stole 136 Bitcoin "mining machines" in the factory according to the method of drilling holes in the wall and breaking into the room through windows that they had planned many times before. They transported them to a nearby van with an electric tricycle and then transported them to Nanjing to be handed over to the criminal suspect Yang. Later, Yang transferred all the stolen goods to the board house rented by the criminal suspect Chen and hid them.

At present, the suspects Yang Moumou, Wang Mou, Chen Moumou and others have all been criminally detained, and the trial of the case and the pursuit of fugitives are in full swing.
